SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!! I took that to heart and that’s how the podcast began. After becoming a single mother to 4 children, I realized there is a lot of help available to women but a lot of it can seem out of touch. I remember reading one book and the author talks about finding herself after a trip to some tropical destination. Her words were valid but it came with a sting. I wish I could have the chance to relax on the beach, Im sure I could find myself and search my soul too! I can’t do that! That’s not reality for most women I know. I was also in a financial position that I could not afford to pay for a life coach or other luxury service to help you heal and move on. So while I was in therapy after leaving my marriage I was also building a little community on social media that was growing. I was finding women that were not only hearing me, they were validating my experiences as well. So many times they would comment “Say it louder for the people in the back!”. I would talk to my therapist about this phenomenon I was experiencing of finding like minded women and how I wanted to be able to help them in the ways they’ve helped me. I wanted to create a platform that I could share with them so that when one of us succeeds we can all see a little bit of ourselves in her. So on the podcast I share my personal experiences, and stories weaved in todays pop culture and current events. My hope is that it feels like you’ve hung out with your bestie for a quick little catch up! I hope you learn something you can take on your journey and I hope you laugh at least a little.
